Welcome to the Kindy A room
In Kindy A we encourage and empower children to learn through play both independently and alongside their peers and teachers. Children are viewed as individuals and are supported by caring adults to reach their full potential.
The programme is based on the interests of the child and its aim is to encourage children to be self-motivated learners by creating the foundation for lifelong learners. Kindy A Room embodies the principles of the Queensland Kindergarten programme and the Early Years Learning Framework.
We have created a warm, rich and diverse environment that recognises all unique bicultural heritages. An environment where all children and staff welcome, value and respect the diversity within our room regardless of ethnicity, culture socioeconomic status or gender differences. This environment creates warm and respectful relationships, where children enjoy a sense of security and belonging.
We experience languages, music, art and stories of the cultures of the world, to create a sense of belonging. We complement the important role of families by developing respectful partnerships, while also respecting the unique knowledge and contributions of families in the decision making process around the child’s care and education.
