Happy Easter Holidays

Easter is a great time for children to play and build their imaginative play with fun Easter ideas. It is also a great time to bond with the family, and living in Brisbane the weather is still warm enough to truly make the most of the Easter break.

While the holiday break can be a magical time for kids the grown-up may feel challenged when it comes to finding fun things to keep the little ones entertained.

Here are a few easy holiday ideas to enjoy with your little one:

Easter Farm Animals at Newmarket

Newmarket Village is hosting their annual Easter Farm on April 16th and 17th. Children can enjoy warm cuddles with some adorable farm animals, including alpacas, miniature goats, sheep and lots of fluffy hens that just love hugs. Children can try their hand at feeding the animals and enjoy the farm life experience whilst being guided by trained and uniformed farmers from Amazing Animals To You. Located outside, in front of Coles Newmarket Village this is a free event but be sure to register your interest beforehand.

Redcliffe Sails Festival

Enjoy the best of the Bayside with Redcliffe’s Festival of Sails on Friday the 15th of April 9am-5pm. Featuring live music and a mixture of free and low-cost entertainment at Suttons Beach children will delight in seeing part of the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race, market stalls, a kid’s zone and food trucks.

Shorncliffe Bluewater Festival

The Shorncliffe Bluewater Festival on April 15th is another memorable day out with family and friends. Held on the scenic foreshore at Shorncliffe, it’s a perfect vantage point to watch the start of The Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht race. Head to Lower Moora Park between 8am and 7pm for FREE entry to the food festival, markets, entertainment throughout the day and fireworks in the evening.
